Yesterday was a complete wash for me and today wasn’t that much better. I still felt a little wonky and my stomach is just starting to settle down. I have truly learned my lesson. Just because food is available in abundance does not mean I have to eat it. I honestly thought I was being selective and not going overboard, but my stomach thought differently.
Because I still didn’t feel like myself this morning, I skipped my workout, which made me feel bad mentally. But I’m glad I listened to my body and got the extra sleep because I definitely needed it.
There is some good news to report. I made it through the entire work day without any back pain…yahoo! I stopped at the market and walked around with no trouble as far as my back goes. My leg and heel are still giving me some trouble, but my back is holding up just fine. Now the true test will come when I head into the kitchen to cook and wash dishes. If I can get through that process I’d say, Houston we’ve got a winner.
I’m hoping to resume my workout schedule tomorrow. I already know that I will not be able to get to the gym before work, due to an early morning meeting. But it is my plan to get it done right after work. My plan is to not pass go or collect $200, but instead to head straight to the gym. My bag is already packed and ready to go. I think my body is ready and I’m sure the movement will do me some good.
