Okay so the time has come for me to get off the pot. I’ve been thinking, planning and helping others with their weight loss goals and journey while I’ve been giving a lot of lip action when it comes to my own. After talking to my friend Donna yesterday I made a commitment to myself to start my workout regimen last night. I decided not to wait until “Monday”, or next month or when I felt like it. Nope! I got my rear in gear last night and did what needed to be done.
I knew I was out of shape…but dang! Not only was I only able to get through a portion of the workout I had plan but today my arms are KILLING me! My tricep muscles are so sore honestly I can’t even lift my arms to scratch my head. Getting dressed this morning was quite interesting especially when the time came to put on my bra .
Here’s just a portion of my routine.
The plan had been to work on my biceps, triceps, chest and back. I was only able to work on my biceps and triceps and get in 5 push ups before collapsing on the floor. I was okay with what I was able to accomplish. It had been more than I’d done in the last few weeks AND I didn’t want to overdo it to the point that it would put me out of commission for the next two months.
Baby steps. Progressive steps. That’s the route I’m taking here. And although my arms are sore it’s the kind of sore that makes me feel strong and accomplished.
