Today marks the start of a brand new year, and while January 1st is symbolic of a fresh start there’s really nothing magical about January 1st.
Here’s what I know for sure. My goals are not going to materialize unless I do the work. The key word in that last sentence is “work”, which by definition is: an activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result. I realize it’s not going to be easy, but neither is going to “work” every day but I do it in order to get paid. So the same holds true in this case, I have to do the work in order to reach my weight loss goals.
The bottom line is this. It’s time to stop short changing my health and wellbeing. If I want to achieve my goals I have to do the work, plain and simple! Not when I feel like, because honestly, when is that? Not when it’s convenient.
Life is full of inconveniences and that’s not going to change in 2016. The thing I have to continually ask myself is, is convenience more important than success? When I think about it, getting up at 5:00 in the morning to workout is not convenient, but if I want to reach my goal and if that’s the best time for me to workout then I gotta make it happen!
So, in a nutshell I’m saying NO MORE EXCUSES! Today is the first blank page of my 366 page book, and I’m planning on writing an epic one! I’m making this the year of no excuses and can’t wait to close the door on this chapter of my life once and for all!
