Yes, it feels good to feel good, but sadly that has not been my experience here lately. When you find that you’re not where you want to be in your life, it’s a good practice to take a step back and evaluate the condition you find yourself in so that you can do a mid-course correction. When you end up sitting on the sideline while life passes you by, that’s when you know it’s time to do something to get yourself back on track. That’s where I’ve been for the past two months. With the anticipation and build up to the new year, once it arrived I hit January with a big fat thud! I had done all the planning, dreaming and goal setting I could do. The problem was when it came time to put in the work, I just didn’t have it in me to do much of anything.
I fizzled out mid-January and that’s where I’ve been until recently. I turned 50 a few weeks ago and while it feels good to be able to celebrate a half century of life, physically I was feeling each and every one of my 50 years. I’m still trying to embrace this season of life where my body seems to be going haywire. Dry skin, low energy, lack of focus, aches, and pains I’ve never felt before all seem to be the order of the day. If you look at me too long I’ll start to melt away under the intensity of my internal furnace which fires up with no notice at all. It’s torture I tell you…sheer torture, but I digress…LOL.
I was starting to feel drained not only from the physical changes but also the mental heaviness of it all. I didn’t feel like myself and I knew I couldn’t rest until I found some relief. Fortunately, with this new season of life comes new blessings and more wisdom and an openness to try something new. It hit me like a ton of bricks that it was either now or never if I was ever going to make changes with my health and wellness.
And so I’ve been busy doing everything I know to do to take better care of myself physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally and financially…and my diligence is paying off big time! It feels good to be able to focus more on my wellness and less on my weight. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still working to lose weight, but that is no longer my main focus. I want to need to feel alive and vibrant and weight loss will be the additional icing on the cake.
After taking stock and assessing my situation and taking some very deliberate action, I’m happy to say that in just a few short weeks I’ve experienced some amazing results. I attribute my success thus far to:
- A made up mind
- Focus
- Consistency
- And a sheer to desire to do better and be a better me
Today I want to share how I’ve been able to turn things around for my physical health. And over the next few days, I will share my mental and spiritual revival as well because it all works together to make me a whole and thriving human being.
It Feels Good To Be Pain-Free
It’s no secret that I suffer from back pain. I have a protruding disc, which presses on my sciatic nerve and when the nerve is inflamed, the pain radiates down my leg and into my foot. It’s a pain in the butt! Actually, that’s the only part of my body that doesn’t hurt, but you know what I mean. Last year I had a series of epidural shots, which relieved the pain but wore off around December. Slowly the pain returned and by the time I went for another shot last week I was limping through the door. But thank God for these shots. I feel so much better. The pain is gone from my whole right side and it feels good to be pain-free. You don’t know how bad you feel until you start to feel better. I have a new bounce in my step and after I get clearance from the doctor I will be returning to the gym. My goal is to workout like a mad woman before the shot wears off in a few months.
It Feels Good To Have Increased Energy
When it came to energy, I had just enough to get me to 5:00 each day, and that was a struggle. I lived for my couch and my bed. The more I sat around the less I wanted to do. It was terrible! I just couldn’t bring myself to do much of anything. I hated feeling like this and knew something had to change! I started making small changes to my eating habits by cutting out junk food and fast foods. I knew the fast food was a big culprit of my energy slumps. A friend turned me onto a wellness supplement called NRG, by Total Life Changes, which I’ve been taking now for two weeks and I feel A.MAZ.ING! I take them every morning and I’m telling you I have energy throughout the entire day. I don’t have the 3:00 slumps and I actually have more clarity and focus than I know what to do with! What I love about the product is that it’s all natural AND it does not give me the nervous jitters. From the time I get up until the time I go to bed, I am alert and full of energy to get more done! NRG gives me life honey…life I tell ya! Not only does it give me energy, it also reduces hunger. Now that’s what I’m talking about. I’ve not had any cravings or desire for crazy amounts of food. I eat my three meals a day and that’s it! Here’s the clincher…I’m down 12lbs! I am very pleased with this product and definitely recommend it for anyone who finds themselves with low to no energy. Here’s a link to the Total Life Changes website if you’re interested in learning more about the product or if you’d like to try them for yourself.
It Feels Good To Have No More Dry Skin
For over a month I’ve been dealing with extremely dry skin on my face and back. Out of the blue, I became a dry patchy mess. I was starting to look worn and old. One thing I’m proud of is my skin and my good genes, but something was amiss. I definitely wasn’t drinking enough water and I’m sure I needed a good detox regimen to clear things up. I made a commitment to drink a minimum of 32 oz. of water every day. Now that’s all I drink. H2O is my beverage choice. No coffee! No soda! No syrupy juice! Just plain old H2O. My skin is glowing again. It’s hydrated, soft and healthy. Dry patches are gone and happy days are here again! The only other thing I drink now is 2 cups of Iaso Tea each day with my lunch and dinner. This is another product from the wellness supplement line that I’m so in love with. Not to be gross, but this tea, which is a detox tea helps to keep me regular and clean inside. I’m lighter both on the scale and in my step.
I’m not one for “quick fixes”, but I was in need of some help to turn my health and my outlook around and these products do the trick! The things I’ve shared here, combined with the things I’ll be sharing over the next few days have all worked together to put me back together. Did I mention that I’ve lost a total of 12lbs in only 10 days?
It’s just been a couple of weeks but the difference between how I was feeling then and how I am feeling now is phenomenal! I’m cautiously optimistic about this new leg of my journey. I’m not looking for any miracles here. I’m willing, ready and now able to do the work. I’m grateful for the jumpstart these products have given me. Total Life Changes lives up to the company name. With the help of these products, I feel like I’ve done an 180-degree turn on my physical health. Now that I’ve’ gotten myself started again, I am committed to continuing the process of becoming a stronger, better and healthier me!
