Yay, it’s National Weigh In Day…said no one EVER! But regardless of this less than enthusiastic reaction, millions of people, including myself are stepping on the scale today to get the depressing verdict from our over indulgences over the “holiday season”…that time of year where 4 one day holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day), turns into a “season” of eating and gaining even more weight.
The picture above is where I stand, but not for long. This next statement is my commitment to myself for the year 2016…I am going to shed 100 lbs. this year, once and for all, no matter what! Let me repeat myself, I am going to shed 100 lbs. this year, once and for all, NO MATTER WHAT!
Here are 30 reason’s why I’m gonna make it happen (not in any particular order).
- I want the pain in my back to be GONE!
- I want to feel healthy.
- I want to have more confidence.
- I want to be able to participate in activities I enjoy.
- I want to stop hurting.
- I want to have a better quality of life.
- I want to shop for the first time in my life in the normal sized section.
- I want to sit in a chair and not fear it collapsing underneath me.
- I want to be able to cross my legs.
- I want to run a marathon.
- I don’t want to have to ask for a seat belt extender when I travel this year.
- I want to be able to walk without being winded or exhausted after only 30 minutes.
- I want to like and admire what I see when I look in the mirror.
- I want more energy.
- I want to be able to buy pantyhose and not have to struggle to get in them.
- I want to be an inspiration to others.
- I want the tag on my clothes to start with the #1
- I want to sit in the movie theater comfortably, without spilling into the seats next to me.
- I want to be stronger.
- I want my knees to stop hurting.
- I want my feet to stop hurting.
- I want my thighs to not rub together.
- I don’t want to feel panicky when a conversation turns to weight.
- I want to stop feeling judged by the size of my body.
- I don’t want to feel like all eyes are on me when a comedian makes a joke about fat people.
- I want to be able to hike the appalachian trial without passing out.
- I want to feel attractive.
- I want to be around to see my nieces grow up, get married and have children of their own.
- I want to finally remove “lose weight” from my goals list.
- I want to be healthy!
