This past March was my “no excuse” month. To jump start a regular exercise regimen, I challenged myself to exercise EVERYDAY! No excuses. No matter what. Because I was committed to that challenge, I exercised with a headache, with cramps, in bad weather, and in spite of a very hectic schedule. I proved to myself that I could do it, and it was the spring board I needed to make exercise a normal part of my life, which it now is.
So now, I’m ready for another challenge. I’ve decided that for the month of November, I am going to walk 100 miles. Sounds like a lot, however it boils down to 3.33 miles a day. Since I give my body a rest on Sundays, I will be walking approximately 4 miles a day. That’s 2 more additional miles than I now walk on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s. Also because I do Zumba on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Saturday’s, I will be adding a 4 mile walk to these 3 days. I’m up for the challenge, and it’s just the umph I need to put a spark back into my regimen. I will continue to do my walk/run intervals and my strength training, and I am hoping to be able to report a significant drop in weight and inches as a result of my November “no excuse” challenge.
Will you join me? I sure hope so.
