I’ve been doing the happy dance all day. Last week I set a goal for myself to lose 4-5lbs. AND I met my goal! This morning was weigh in at Weight Watchers and I’m down 4.8lbs. Oh yeah!!!! That’s a total of 8.2lbs. since I rejoined. I am a happy camper and it looks like I am no longer stalled.
Making the decision to return to Weight Watchers was definitely a good call. I knew it would help me to get back on track. I do well knowing someone else is going to weigh me and “know” how I’ve done. I also need the accountability. Being able to share in the group and also hear what others are doing helps me to stay on track during the week.
So it looks like I need to sign up for my swimming lessons since I am just 1.8lbs away from my first 10lb goal. My reward for losing 10lbs is to take swimming lessons, so YMCA…here I come! My leader gave me an awesome idea, which I am totally going to put into affect. Every time I workout, I earn activity points. Because I workout anywhere from 45-60 minutes, I can earn as little as 4 or as much as 19 points depending on the intensity. Her suggestion was, rather than eating those points, get a jar and put money in it equivalent to the amount of points earned each time I workout, and at the end of the month take the money and treat myself to a non food reward. Love that idea and I am soooo on it! I’m thinking a new outfit, a nice lipstick or nail polish shade, a good book, or maybe I’ll just save up for a mini vacation. I really like that idea! Talk about motivation…I am so hyped to keep going because not only will I continue to lose weight, but I will get a nice vacation out of the deal
