Day two and I’m still on point with my eating and I had a great workout this evening. No cardio today, which actually felt strange to me because I’m so used to either running or doing Zumba. Instead I did strength training and worked on my legs. My routine consisted of:
- 105 Leg Extensions
- 72 Hamstring Curls
- 80 Leg Presses
- 74 Lunges
- 45 Dead Lifts
When I was done, my legs were a little wobbly, but I felt good and accomplished. I am concerned about how I will feel on Thursday when it’s time to teach Zumba. The soreness hasn’t set in, but I know I am going to feel it by then. But I am already setting my mind to move past it and not to let it stop me or slow me down. I know that by continuing to strengthen my legs that will help me with my running and that is one of my goals. Not only that, I really want me so cheetah legs…strong, powerful and fast.
After my workout I was famished and I REALLY wanted to grab something quick and already cooked, but instead I stopped off at the market to grab a bag of salad and other fixins, and some salmon, which I seasoned up and tossed into the oven. I prepared my salad while the salmon was cooking and was able to eat a delicious low cal meal shortly after walking through the door.
Tomorrow is a run day. Don’t know how well that’s going to go over after working out these legs tonight, but not running is not an option, so in spite of how my legs might feel…I will be getting my 3 miles in tomorrow!
Love, Peace and Zumba!
