Yesterday I shared how good it felt to run for 5 straight minutes on the treadmill. Well, my workout didn’t stop there. Last night I decided to go to a different Zumba class, just to get in an extra workout. At the end of the class, as I was preparing to leave, one of the ladies stopped me and said, “You have a cute shape”. My initial reaction was Gary Coleman’s What You Talk Bout Willis? Was she talking to me? My response was, “I’m sorry, I didn’t hear what you said”. She repeated it, and I tell you I must have lit the joint UP with the smile that came across my face. I thanked her profusely, and left there feeling WONDERFUL. I think I floated all the way home. Not only did I have two great workouts, but also someone made a comment about MY BODY that didn’t make me want to crawl up under a rock. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Today I plan to hit the gym at lunchtime and run for 10 straight minutes. I know I can do it because I was able to do it back in June, but haven’t attempted it since. My new running goal is to build up my endurance. I am going to push past my burning lungs and legs. I’m starting now to get myself in gear to run, that’s right I said RUN my next 5K race.
