Your body will not do what your mind doesn’t believe it can. If deep in your thoughts you don’t believe you can lose weight, you won’t. It’s just that simple. Our minds are very powerful, which is why it is so important to condition our thoughts for the journey. This key part of the weight loss process is sometimes the most difficult or should I say challenging thing to manage.
Think about this, 90% of this journey will depend on your mindset. The other 10% is your eating and activity. We spend more time hacking away at the 10% giving little to no thought on the biggest piece of the puzzle. I like to think of our mindset as the corner and outer pieces of the puzzle. You know that once the outside is “put together”, assembling the rest of the puzzle becomes easier. If you can master how you think about the process, eating and exercising will become less of a struggle and you will begin to do what needs to be done to reach your goal.
