Today was my fourth straight day of working out. I’m pretty excited about that because finally I feel like I have my mojo back. I am focused and I’m ready to make it happen. Yesterday, was Wordless Wednesday and in the picture I’m holding up two fingers to represent “two days” of getting my workout on. Actually, yesterday was day three. Perhaps I was a wee bit confused because I had gotten up at 4:00 a.m. to hit the gym. I think I was a little discombobulated.
Believe me when I tell you, I am not about that 4:00 a.m. life! The only reason I was up was because I had to go to the bathroom. By the time I made it back to bed, my mind had already turned on and I couldn’t go back to sleep. Rather than laying there fretting I decided to redeem the time. So I got up, got dressed and got my butt out of the house.
I have to say it was pretty cool being at the gym that time of the morning. There weren’t a lot of people and it felt good to get in, get it done and get out. I don’t want to say this too loudly, but I think I could get used to going at that time.
Anywho, this morning wasn’t quite that early, but I got myself there by 5:30 and again it felt good to have it done and over with, not to be thought about again until tomorrow. My plan had been to get my workouts done at lunchtime, but I’m starting to rethink that plan. The last 3 days I had something going on that would interfere with my lunchtime workout, so I decided to schedule my gym time for the a.m. Now tomorrow I’m scheduled to go back to my lunchtime schedule, but I think I’m going to do the morning instead.
The theme I’ve chosen for myself this year is to be consistent. So far I’ve been consistent in my blogging. I’ve not missed a day since starting afresh on January 1st. The next thing I want to work on is being consistent in working out. This week was my commitment week. Tomorrow will make 5 straight days and I already have a plan mapped out for next week for how I’m going to get it in. I am determined to get myself back on track with moving consistently towards my goal. I will make it happen!!
