Life is for the living, not the waiting yet we are “waiting” our lives away! As women in perpetual waiting, we’re waiting for all kinds of things before we start living our lives to the fullest.
- We are waiting for the weight to come off before fully living our lives.
- We are waiting to feel like it.
- We are waiting for yet another Monday.
- We are waiting to have the perfect body until we feel worthy and deserving.
- We are waiting because we think we can’t do XYZ, yet we don’t know for sure if we can or not because we’ve been waiting to try.
And the list goes on and on and on.
Our time on this earth is limited, yet we keep putting off our dreams and goals and aspirations. I want to encourage you to have faith in yourself, curves and all. I want to encourage you to have courage but the only way to build courage is to do the very thing that scares you to death!
I don’t remember where I heard this but I absolutely love that definition!
Today I want to share with you five (5) ways to live your life to the fullest regardless of your curves, regardless of your flaws and imperfections and regardless of your fears. Newsflash…we ALL have them, but only the courageous step out in spite of them!
Be Authentically Who You Are
“Today you are you, that’s truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” Love this quote by Dr. Seuss! Stop trying to be like someone else. Own who you are. Own your beauty, talents, gifts, quirks, curves and all!!!!
Express Gratitude Daily
Stop complaining about every little thing! Instead of moaning and groaning about your life and how unhappy you are, start doing something to better your situation. Or better yet, change your attitude about the situation and watch how quickly the situation changes.
Create Your Own Opportunities
If you’ve written a book and you can’t get anyone to publish it, publish it yourself. If you want to be a TV host who interviews people but can’t get your foot in the door at ABC, NBC or CBS, host your own Facebook Live or YouTube show. Creating your own opportunities simply means to stop sitting back waiting for folk to knock on your door. If you can’t get through the door, break a window! (I don’t mean this literally unless of course, you’re in some kind of trouble).
Be Intentional Every Day
Be purposeful about your life. Stop living in such a haphazard way. Align your daily activities up with your goals, values and life purpose. If you want to be a writer, write! If you want to be a motivational speaker, speak…motivate others on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram etc. You get the point. If there is something you want to do or be…do it and be it every day!
Stop Putting Your Life On Hold
What are you waiting to do? Why are you waiting to do it? As I mentioned earlier, we only have a limited time on this earth. Time is speeding by. You don’t have the luxury of waiting for the stars to line up just right. You have to move out right now! Release the hold button on your life and GO!
