Ai yi yi, my body feels like a mac truck just ran over it. Today was strength training day with my girl Keisha and I wish I could say I was feeling no pain…but that ain’t my story…LOL
Here are the things that sucked about my workout today:
- Getting up a 5:00 a.m. (me and mornings have never gotten along)
- Working out the kinks in my body BEFORE I ever made it to the gym (I wake up every morning stiff as a board and it takes a little longer to get moving these days)
- Fading out around 3:00 (I think the combination of getting up so early and the intensity of my workout zapped my energy)
- Muscle soreness (we did lower body and core work today and my body is screaming from the waist down)
Okay, so here are the things that shined about my workout today:
- Mentally I felt accomplished (I got it done and I got it done early…I did not have to carry the burden all day of thinking about when I would get it in)
- I actually enjoyed the workout (I belly ached the whole time, but I felt great doing my thing and all the aches and pains I woke up with disappeared)
- It was cool having someone to work out with (I needed the accountability and the push…thanks Keisha)
Day one is done! And I get to do it all over again tomorrow…oh goodie
I won’t have Keisha or anyone else to hold me accountable. It’s gonna be all on me, so I guess I need to say good night now so I won’t need the crowbar to get myself out of bed in the morning. Nighty, night!
