“Your body will never do what your mind doesn’t believe it can do”.
This is the theme of a series of blog posts I will be sharing as well as the focus of my soon to launch new e-book entitled, “Mastering Your Mindset For Sustained Weight Loss Success”.
In my opinion the process of losing weight is more mental than physical. If I had to give a percentage I’d say 10% is diet and exercise and the remaining 90% is mental.
Are any of the following things stopping you from losing weight?
- Excuses, excuses, excuses
- Stinking thinking
- Deep down you don’t believe you can
- Putting it off until tomorrow
- Out of control eating
- Fear, anxiety and worry
- Putting everyone else’s needs ahead of your own
- Not creating boundaries for yourself
- No motivation to get moving
- Don’t believe the promise you’ve made to yourself to really do it this time
- Resistance to change and consistency (self-sabotage)
- Don’t know how or where to start
There is a great need for a complete and total shift in how we think about the weight loss process. Since our thoughts create our actions we need to spend time on realigning our thought process to create a win-win situation for us and to put us on the road to long term success.
While a nutritionist provides guidance and support on eating healthy and a personal trainer works to whip your body into shape, it is my goal to guide and support you in mastering your mindset so that your new habits will become a welcomed part of your life. Now let’s go knock down those walls!
