I hate to admit this, but I am very impatient and cannot stand to be kept waiting. This confession comes on the heals of my having to leave my scheduled appointment with a nutritionist today, after being kept waiting for over 45 minutes. Really? A 45 minute wait to see a nutritionist? I think NOT! I’m disappointed because I was looking forward to getting some information and having my questions answered, but that was riduculous. Oh well, I guess I have to look elsewhere for help.
On a more cheerful note, I stuck to my exercise plan for today. My goal was to run 1.5 miles today, and I’m proud to say I ran 2…count them one… two. I am so super proud of myself for going the extra mile :-). Upon reaching 1.5 miles, I realized I was in the zone and decided to keep running to reach my two mile milestone. It took me 30 minutes to do it. Wow, I actually ran for 30 minutes. Straight. Without stopping. Amazing. I really think I could have gone for 3 miles, but my leg was cramping and I didn’t want to push it.
As I mentioned the other day, running on the treadmill and running outside are two different beast, but 2 miles are two miles no matter what the surface you choose to run on. I am now on a mission to incorporate more outdoor running into my routine so that I can build up my outdoor running endurance.
I’m loving my body for it’s strength and power. I am amazed everyday by how much I can do, and I’m so thankful to the Lord for the ability to do it.
