Here’s one thing I know for sure. It doesn’t matter how much money you do or don’t have. It doesn’t matter what you do for a living or whether you have a degree or not. It doesn’t matter whether you do nothing all day, or whether you hit the ground running each and every day. When it comes to time…we ALL have the same 24 hours, the same 7 days a week, the same 52 weeks a year, and the same 12 months each year to do what needs to be done with and in our lives.
Think about this. Tomorrow, today will be yesterday. That is such a powerful statement to me. It dawned on me just a few moments ago that in four hours, the first half of the year will be OVER! Where did the time go AND what am I waiting for? According to my initial plan, I should be at the half way mark of my ultimate weight loss goal of 100lbs. Unfortunately, that is not the case, but I shall not fret. It’s not over until the fat lady sings. Here’s what I have to say about that! When it’s over, there will be a lady singing, but she will NOT be fat…Ha Ha…No sir!
Anywho, as I continue my Mojo Monday series, I am encouraged by the power of the calendar. It helps me to look at the year (or now in this case the next six months), and decide, what can I realistically accomplish during this time frame? My answer to that is 40lbs. If I do more, Great! But that is my benchmark number.
Now when I break that goal down further, and divide those 40lbs. by 6 months, that means I have to lose 6.67lbs. each month. Once I break it down even further, I will need to lose 1.67lbs. a week….TOTALLY and COMPLETELY doable, especially if I keep in mind my 500 calorie a day (eat less, burn more formula).
Oh yes, there is power in the calendar in that it allows me to view the big picture, while giving me an opportunity to map out and plan out a doable strategy for accomplishing what it is I want to do. By breaking my goal down like this, it doesn’t seem scary or too overwhelming. This is definitely a plan I can sink my teeth into (pun intended
