“Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did”
That about says it all. When I made up my workout plan for the week, I knew I would be tired, but I didn’t think I would be wiped out so soon. I completed my morning workout and did everything I set out to do. Again I surpassed my running goal, which was to run for 10 minutes without stopping. Well I’m proud to say I ran for 20 minutes (1.25 miles). For some reason it almost seemed effortless this morning. Please note that I said ALMOST. After I completed my 3 miles on the treadmill, I then did my strength training and by the time I got to work I was crawling through the door.
So now here is where perseverance kicks in. My plan is to do 1 hour of Zumba and 200 crunches this evening. I’ve already done the hard work, I’m tired to the bone, but I am going to persevere and stick to the plan. I’m pretty sure by the time I get started I will get my second wind, at least I hope so. Oh Lord, what have I set myself up for? I’m exhausted and it’s just Monday…LOL. Oh well, the show must go on. I’ll see you on the other side.
